New to Faith?

If you have recently given your life to Jesus Christ, or if you are exploring the Christian faith for the first time, we want to say: welcome home. The decision you have made — or are considering — is the most important decision you will ever make. It is not just a religious choice; it is a life-altering encounter with the living God who created you, loves you unconditionally, and has a plan and a purpose for your life.

What Just Happened?

When you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, the Bible says you are saved (Romans 10:9). Something extraordinary has taken place in the spiritual realm. Your sins — past, present, and future — have been forgiven. You have been adopted into the family of God. The Holy Spirit has taken up residence inside you. You are a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

This is not about religion or going to church out of obligation. This is about relationship — a living, daily, growing relationship with the God of the universe who knows your name, counts the hairs on your head, and calls you His beloved child.

Your Next Steps

1. Talk to God every day (Prayer). Prayer is simply talking to God. You do not need special words or a religious formula. God hears the sincere prayer of an honest heart. Tell Him how you feel. Thank Him. Ask Him for guidance. Read the Psalms — they are a masterclass in how to bring every emotion before God.

2. Read the Bible daily. The Bible is God's Word to you personally. Start with the Gospel of John — it is a beautiful introduction to who Jesus is and what He did for you. Then read through the New Testament. The more of God's Word you put in your heart, the stronger your faith will grow.

3. Be baptised. Water baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It is an act of obedience and a powerful spiritual experience. Talk to one of our pastors about being baptised.

4. Connect with a church family. You were not meant to live this new life alone. You need a community of fellow believers who will pray with you, encourage you, teach you, and walk with you through life's challenges. Kingdom Harvest Gospel Ministry is that community. 5. Attend the New Believers' Class. Our New Believers' Class is specifically designed for people who are new to faith. It covers the foundations of the Christian life — salvation, prayer, the Bible, the Holy Spirit, water baptism, and living as a disciple of Jesus. Ask at the Welcome Desk to register for the next available class.

A Prayer for You

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this precious soul who has come to You. I pray that You will establish them firmly in their new faith. Surround them with a community of believers who will love and support them. Send Your Holy Spirit to teach them, guide them, and empower them. May they grow into the fullness of the destiny You have prepared for them. In Jesus' name, Amen.
